Gas Station Shooting Kills 19-Year-Old In Cleveland

The 19-year-old was found inside a car parked at a Shell Gas Station. He had been shot multiple times.

CLEVELAND — A 19-year-old was shot to death at a gas station on Cleveland's east side on Tuesday night. Police are looking for the man who shot him.

Callers reported a shooting at 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Officers were sent to a Shell Gas Station, at 4060 Lee Road, to investigate.

When police arrived they found the 19-year-old inside a Pontiac Vibe at the gas station. He had been shot multiple times, police said. EMS arrived and rushed him to University Hospitals where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators learned the 19-year-old drove to the gas station with two other men. The trio then met the suspect. The suspect then pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots, hitting the 19-year-old several times. Police don't know why the suspect started shooting.

The suspect was seen driving off in a gold or tan four-door sedan.

The two men that rode with the 19-year-old stayed at the gas station after the shooting and are in police custody, a Cleveland police spokesperson said.

Cleveland police's homicide unit and members of the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the shooting.
