Here are the top stories today in Cleveland:

1. Police are investigating a shooting that took place yesterday afternoon on Cleveland's East side. Officers responded to reports of gunshots on Goodman Avenue near Warner Road around 1 p.m. and found an adult male who had been shot, while two suspects were seen fleeing from the area. The victim's condition is not known at this time. (Cleveland 19)
2. Cleveland's baseball team took a major step in its name change Tuesday when workers started taking down the giant "Indians" sign at Progressive Park. The team will be playing the 2022 season as the Cleveland Guardians. (Yahoo! Sports)
3. Shontel Brown has been declared the winner of the special election in Ohio's 11th Congressional District. The Cuyahoga County Councilwoman and chair of the county Democratic Party was considered a favorite in the left-leaning district, which includes parts of Cleveland and Akron. (WKYC)
