Grandfather, Grandson Carjacked At Cleveland Home

Police said a 79-year-old man and his 11-year-old grandson were carjacked by three armed men.

CLEVELAND — A grandfather and grandson were carjacked by three men with handguns on Monday, Cleveland police said.

At 2:35 p.m., a 79-year-old man and his 11-year-old grandson were going to the minivan parked in the driveway of their Brooklyn neighborhood home. Before they could drive off in the van, three men with handguns approached them and stole the vehicle.

The men drove the minivan — a burgundy, 2013 Chrysler Town and Country — west toward Pearl Road. The vehicle has not yet been recovered, police said. No arrests have been made.

EMS checked both the grandfather and grandson and cleared them. Neither was hurt.

The minivan has Ohio license plates reading GNY1073.
