Heavy Snowfall In Northeast Ohio's Snow Belt: Forecast
Portions of Northeast Ohio could be hit with up to 6 inches of snow, before flurries taper off.

Northeast Ohioans that live in the snow belt can expect moderate to heavy snow on Thursday. Additional flurries may hit portions of the region throughout the weekend, particularly in Geauga County.
"The heaviest storm total snowfall is expected over portions of Geauga County as well as inland areas of Erie and Crawford Counties," the National Weather Service said in a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued this week.
Summit County, as well as portions of Geauga, Erie, and Crawford counties, could be hit with up to 3 inches of snow on Thursday morning and early afternoon. Some areas could get as much as 6 inches of snow.

"Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility," the NWS said.

The snowfall should slow in the evening, with only .5 inches expected to fall overnight.
After the flurries on Thursday, which should taper off before the evening, the best chance for snow will be on Saturday. There's currently a 40 percent chance of snow on Saturday morning and Saturday evening. About 1 inch of snow could fall over the weekend, based on current forecasts.
