Here's What It's Like To Drive A Plow During An Ohio Snow Storm
Ride along with plow truck drivers as they try to clear roads, lay down salt and get home safely at the end of their shift.

While most Ohioans were sent home early, dismissed from school or looking for an extra blanket in their homes, crew members for the Ohio Department of Transportation and service departments throughout the state were gearing up to battle Friday's snow storm. To get an idea of how harrowing a job plow truck driver is, agencies have been releasing videos from inside their trucks.
ODOT released video from inside the cabin of one its trucks near Columbus. Flurries of snow swirl beyond the windshield, obscuring vision. For parts of the video, the only thing that can be seen clearly in the distance is a pair of red brake lights, just a bit ahead of the truck.
Here's the first video: (Fair warning, it's long.)

Most of Ohio was under a winter storm warning between Friday night and Saturday morning, with six inches to a foot of snow expected to fall. The forecast delivered and white flakes fell steadily throughout Northeast Ohio and Central Ohio. Conditions went from clear to bad to awful quickly.
The snow even managed to bury Ross County, an Appalachian region south of Columbus. ODOT also released video from inside a plow clearing streets in that area.
