Hillary Clinton May Join Jay-Z at Free Cleveland Concert Nov. 4

The Democratic nominee needs to mobilize young voters and get them to the polls.

CLEVELAND, OH - Sources are reporting that at Jay-Z's free Get Out the Vote concert in Cleveland on Nov. 4, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton may join him on-stage.

With one week to go before the 2016 Presidential Election, the race for the Buckeye State is still radiantly hot. The Clinton campaign is feverishly trying to close the gap between their candidate and Republican Donald Trump. Clinton is sending a parade of surrogates over the next seven days, including: President Barack Obama, Anne Holton, the National, Jay-Z, and Senator Bernie Sanders.

RealClearPolitics shows Trump holding a 2.5 percentage point lead over Clinton in Ohio. A recent Remington Research poll shows Trump holding a 5 point lead while an Emerson poll shows the candidates in a virtual tie.

Part of the reason Clinton is bringing Jay-Z and the National to the state is to try and mobilize young voters. Democrats historically benefit from larger voter turnout, specifically with large showings from young people and minorities. If Clinton can increase voter turnout, using concerts and surrogates that inspire those demographics, she's hoping it will turn the swing state blue.
