How Were 1st Week Medical Marijuana Sales In Ohio?
Ohio's dispensaries sold some 46 pounds of dried cannabis flowers to approved customers, the state's control program said.

Some 46 pounds of dried cannabis flowers were sold across Ohio during the first week, and change, of medical marijuana sales, the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program announced. Total sales amounted to $333,592.
On the first day of medical marijuana sales, the state saw $75,000 in total sales, with a little less than 9 pounds of product sold. The updated figures include sales from Jan. 16 (the first day of sales) through Jan. 27.
Patients are still being warned that in the first months of sales there could be significant delays in receiving marijuana, or long waits at the few dispensaries currently operating in Ohio. Only dried cannabis flowers are currently available. Several companies in Ohio have said they will offer tinctures, topicals, pills, edibles and vape pens once production ramps up. Expect those products to hit dispensaries later this year.

“This is a transformational day on so many levels: most importantly, for Ohio’s patients who have been waiting so long for legal pathways to relief; for our team of over 36 employees in Huron, who have worked tirelessly for the past five months to put our products on the shelves for patients today; and for the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program and the dedicated public servants in Columbus who have been working so hard to stand up for this program and patients over the past two years,” said Firelands Scientific CEO Jeff McCourt on the first day of medical marijuana sales.
