  1. Two people were rushed to the hospital in serious condition after their cars crashed early Wednesday morning on I-90. The crash happened near the West 44th Street exit and caused the road to be shut down for a period of time around 2 a.m. The victims were a man and a woman, both in their 30s.(Cleveland 19 News)
  2. A retired Cleveland police officer owes the IRS more than $235,000 in taxes from his security business that had hired off-duty officers for special events. Harry Gant, 71, of Mentor, pleaded guilty Tuesday to four counts of aiding and assisting in the preparation of a false tax return. U.S. District Judge James Gwin will sentence him Feb. 3. Gant has long been known in Cleveland as the go-to person who would provide private security for entertainment and sports events. (cleveland.com)
