Here are the top three stories today in Cleveland:

  1. Cleveland has been named one of the best cities for those in the film industry to live and work. MovieMaker magazine compiled the list meant for those in the art and craft of making movies. Cleveland saw $140 million being spent on film productions in the area last year with an additional $25 million being spent on television productions. (Spectrum News 1)
  2. Cleveland receives a 'B' grade for fiscal health. The grade was determined using data compiled by the Truth in Accounting nonprofit. Cleveland reportedly has $3.8 million in surplus after paying $1.9 billion in bills. The surplus works out to be $29 per taxpayer in Cleveland. (Truth in Accounting)
  3. Cleveland's I-X Center plans to remove its iconic Ferris wheel. After standing for thirty years, the fixture will be taken down because it does not fit into the new event space footprint, according to officials with the Center. Plans have been proposed to find the Ferris wheel a new home and for it to not be demolished. (WKYC.com)
