CLEVELAND — Blue skies and warm temperatures will cap the first full week of August in Northeast Ohio.

There's no chance of rain this week, the National Weather Service said. Instead, spotless skies will signal a gradual warm-up, with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s by Sunday.

A light breeze, with winds blowing at about 7 mph, will temper the ascending heat.

Here's a breakdown of what to expect this weekend:

Saturday — Sunny, clear skies with a high around 81 degrees and an overnight low of 66 degrees. A light wind will blow throughout the day.

Sunday — Sunny, clear skis with a high around 87 degrees and an overnight low of 71 degrees. Winds will blow between 3 and 6 mph throughout the day, the National Weather Service said.

Temperatures will continue to rise during the early portion of the next work week, forecasts suggest. As temperatures climb, the chance of thunderstorms will grow, meaning Northeast Ohioans should enjoy the dry weekend while they can.
