Independently Speaking Toastmasters earns President's Distinguished Status

The Independently Speaking Club – a local Toastmasters Club based in Seven Hills, OH is excited to announce they have earned its second consecutive President’s Distinguished Award. Toastmasters International encourages local clubs to participate in the Distinguished Club Program. The purpose of the program is to ensure the progress of club meeting educational, membership, and leadership goals. Every year, high performing clubs are recognized based on the number of goals they achieved. The President’s Distinguished Award is the highest honor a local club can earn annually.

Independently Speaking earned this honor due to members earning 10 education awards further developing communication and leadership skills, adding 6 new members, and 5 club officers successfully complete training to be effective leaders for the club. The club is finishing up their fiscal year on June 30, 2017.

Independently Speaking was established in 1989 and is a part of District 10 Toastmasters which covers Northeast Ohio. The club meets every Friday at DeVry University (Room 114) from 12 noon to 1pm.
