Indians Lose Game 4 In New York, Series Returns To Cleveland

The Tribe dropped both games in New York back-to-back. Now the team returns to Progressive Field looking for some hometown magic.

NEW YORK, NY — The Big Apple left Clevelanders with a sour taste in their mouth. The Tribe dropped Games 3 and 4 of the American League Division Series to the New York Yankees in New York City. Monday night's Game 4 was a blow out loss, with the Indians falling 7-3.

Trevor Bauer took the mound in Game 4, looking to replicate his Game 1 success. Except the magic was gone and it was gone quick. Bauer gave up four hits and four runs (none earned) in 1.2 innings of work. Manager Terry Francona yanked him early in favor of Joe Smith, and a parade of pitchers from the bullpen.

For the Yankees, Luis Severino went 7 innings and gave up three runs and four hits over the course of his day. Star New York rookie Aaron Judge had one hit and two runs batted in.
