Innovative Sales Manager Recognized for Toastmasters Leadership Award
Mark Butler from Independently Speaking earns Competent Leader Award

Mark Butler, Channel Sales Manager for Zebra Technologies headquartered in Lincolnshire, Illinois, was honored by Independently Speaking Toastmasters for successfully earning his Competent Leader (CL) award. The event was held on Friday, October 20, at DeVry University in Seven Hills, Ohio.
“Toastmasters has helped me become a better speaker and it has helped me hone my leadership skills. Everyone thinks about Toastmasters as an organization to enhance your speaking abilities. That it does. However, Toastmasters focuses on helping members become better leaders,” says Butler.
Butler, the club’s Vice President of Membership, joined Toastmasters in October, 2016. While pursuing the Toastmasters CL award, he developed better organizational, time management, mentoring, and team building skills. However, the thing that caught him by surprise was becoming a better listener in the process.
