- Two candlelight vigils will be held in Cleveland to remember the anniversary of the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol insurrection. One will be held at 50 Public Square downtown, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., while the other will be held at the Celebrezze Federal Building from 12:00 p.m. to 1 p.m. State Rep. Michael Skindell, Mayor Annette Blackwell, Pastor Omar Medina, Councilman Ifeolu Claytor, and activist and writer Randy Cunningham are all slated to appear at the Public Square event. - The Cleveland Browns announced that quarterback Baker Mayfield won't be playing for the final game of the regular season due to an ongoing shoulder injury. The injury, a torn labrum in Mayfield's left shoulder, has reportedly been bothering the quarterback since the second week of the season. (Cleveland Patch)
- Due to ongoing staffing shortages, all Heinen's grocery stores will be operating at a limited capacity. As of next Monday, Jan. 10, all Northeast Ohio locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday through Saturday. (News 5 Cleveland)
