John Glenn's Memorial Service Details Announced

Tickets for the service will be free and the event will be open to the public.

COLUMBUS, OH - Details for John Glenn's memorial ceremony have been announced. The astronaut and US Senator will lie in the Ohio Statehouse Rotunda on Friday, Dec. 16 from 12 to 8 p.m. He will then be transferred on Dec. 17 to Mershon Auditorium at 12:30 p.m. Once at the auditorium, a two-hour service will be held in Glenn's honor.

Glenn will be moved from the Rotunda to the Auditorium by a platoon of United States Marines. The troops will march up High Street and lead the hearse carrying Glenn.

The final ceremony at Mershon will be open to the public and streamed online. Tickets will be free, but they will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Details of the ticket sale will be posted here. You will be able to watch the event at this link.
