Justin Bieber Accused Of Assault In Cleveland
A Las Vegas resident claims the pop star assaulted him following Game 3 of the 2016 NBA Finals.
CLEVELAND, OH — A Las Vegas native is accusing pop star Justin Bieber of assault. The man claims Bieber punched him multiple times outside of a hotel in Cleveland following Game 3 of the 2016 NBA Finals Game.
The report, released Wednesday by Cleveland Police, says Bieber and Rodney Cannon, 34, were drinking together at a bar at the Westin, on St. Clair Avenue. The two walked outside, and Bieber took a pair of Versace sunglasses from the other man, donned them, and Cannon began taking pictures of Bieber wearing the sunglasses. That was a bridge too far.
Bieber reportedly got angry about his picture being taken and started demanding Cannon delete the pictures off his phone. Cannon responded that he would delete the pictures if Bieber returned his sunglasses.

Bieber then allegedly grabbed the phone and started deleting the pictures himself. The two men then wrestled for control of the phone. When Cannon reached for the sunglasses on Bieber's face, Bieber reportedly pushed him away.

When Cannon tried to restrain Bieber, Bieber unloaded, allegedly hitting the man with three punches to the face. The report says that Bieber's security guards may have also gotten in on the action, punching the man several times.
The report says Cannon then went to Spring Valley Hospital in Nevada, where he was told he had suffered an acute head injury and a possible concussion.
Cannon told police that he has video of the incident, though no video has yet been made public by police. TMZ.com posted what they claim is video of the incident in June. Patch also reported on the incident in June.
A spokesperson for Cleveland police says a full investigation of the incident will be conducted and then prosecutors will decide whether or not to file charges.
