Kevin Love Signs 4-Year Extension With Cavaliers
LeBron who? Cleveland has reportedly inked a long-term contract with their lone, remaining All-Star from the 2016 title team.

CLEVELAND, OH — Kevin Love is going to be a Cleveland Cavalier for a long time. The star forward has signed a four-year extension with the Cavs. The team announced the extension on Twitter on Tuesday.
"This is a huge deal for this organization, this franchise, and this city," said General Manager Koby Altman during a press conference. Love signed his contract in front of the entire Cavaliers organization, in the heart of Quicken Loans Arena.
“When I first came to Cleveland, I came with a long-term mindset,” said Love. “I came here to win. We developed a culture here that reflects that. I’m super excited and I couldn’t be happier. It’s a big commitment for me and it’s a big commitment from the Cavaliers, so I want to thank Dan Gilbert, Koby Altman and the entire organization. I enjoy playing here, I’m excited about the team that we have and look forward to our future together. Cleveland fans have been special from day one and I’m also looking forward to continuing to be a part of this great community.”

Adrian Wojnarowski Tweeted that the contract would be a "four-year, $120 million contract extension --- topping out his overall deal at five-years, $145 million, league sources tell ESPN."
The decision to extend Love will likely be controversial among some Cavaliers fans. While the forward has been an All-Star and was an integral part of the 2016 championship team, many fans and pundits feel the team should have moved on from Love and started a full rebuild.

Still, Love averaged 17.6 points per game and 9.3 rebounds last season. During the 2018-2019 season, he will likely move from second option (behind the departed LeBron James) into the primary scorer. His numbers could see a spike.
