Knife-Wielding Man Shot By Police In Cleveland
A 43-year-old man was shot by police on Tuesday afternoon. Officers say the man charged them with knives.
CLEVELAND — A 43-year-old man was shot after he charged officers with a knife, according to Cleveland police.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Authority police were called to an apartment on Woodland. Callers said a man appeared to be cutting himself inside his apartment.
When officers arrived, they found a 43-year-old man cutting himself with a knife. Officers got into the apartment and tried to talk to convince the man to drop the knives. Police said it didn't work.

The 43-year-old charged at police, with a knife in each hand, a police spokesperson said.
One officer fired his gun, hitting the 43-year-old in the abdomen and wrist. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment. Police said the man has been arrested and is being monitored by police.
