Here are the top three stories today in Cleveland:
- Downtown Cleveland businesses are being impacted by Major League Baseball's delayed start. Baseball will not be at Progressive Field on Mar. 31 which is unofficially the Guardians Opening Day. The league's owners and players have not been able to come to an agreement. Businesses in downtown Cleveland rely on the increased traffic that baseball games provide. (Cleveland 19 News)
- Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court has decided to lift its mask mandates. The decision was due to declining COVID-19 infection rates. The mandate was put in effect in April 2020. Visitors can now choose between wearing masks or not. (cleveland.com)
- Kroger is bringing its operations to Northeast Ohio in the form of a new Customer Fulfillment Center. The 270,00 square foot facility will combine vertical integration, machine learning, and state-of-the-art robotics to deliver fresh food to the grocery retailer's customers. The facility will use more than 1,000 bots to fill totes and prepare customer orders. (WKYC.com)
