Light April Snow Showers To Hit Northeast Ohio
Temperatures could drop into the high 20s this week as snow makes a brief appearance in Northeast Ohio.

CLEVELAND — A light snow could cover green grass and emerging spring flowers this week in Northeast Ohio. Less than an inch of snow is expected to accumulate by Thursday morning, as temperatures plummet into the low 30s.
Northeast Ohio will get cold quickly, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service. Temperatures will drop into the low 30s and high 20s on Wednesday night and bring a dusting of snow to the region.
Little snow is expected to accumulate on Thursday and Friday before the precipitation again turns to rainfall. Temperatures will gradually climb back into the 50s by Saturday, according to current forecasts.

In central Ohio, residents are being warned of an impending freeze. Temperatures will fall into the mid-20s and could get low enough to damage crops and other plantings, the National Weather Service warns.
"Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing," the National Weather Service said.
