Man Delivering Pizza Robbed, Car Stolen In Cleveland

Two of the suspected robbers had handguns. One of the them threatened to "blow" the man's head off if he didn't hand over his money.

CLEVELAND — A man delivering pizza was robbed on Monday night. The suspects stole the man's car and threatened to "blow" his head off, police said.

The man was bringing pizza to a home on Belvidere Avenue, on Cleveland's east side. When he arrived at the house, four men came to meet him. They asked him to make change for a $100 bill, then two of the men pulled out handguns, police said.

One of the gun-toting men told the delivery guy to "give me it all" and threatened to "blow" his head off. One of the other men then went through his pockets and grabbed his wallet, according to the police report.

Shortly after taking the report, police spotted the stolen car on E. 105th and Carnegie Avenue. There were two men inside the car. Patrol cruisers flipped on their overhead lights and tried to pull the car over.

The stolen car sped off, accelerating away from officers and starting a car chase. As the car approached an intersection, it braked hard and spun out, hitting the pursuing police cruiser. The two men inside then jumped out of the car and took off running, according to the police report.
