Here are the top stories today in Cleveland:
- A Cleveland man received a life sentence on Monday after pleading guilty to murdering a woman inside her car in front of two of her children last December. Ellis Wilson, 34, was set to begin trial on charges including aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault and weapons charges in the Dec. 19 killing of Breyana Presley, 33. Wilson pleaded guilty to murder and one weapons charge on Monday in exchange for prosecutors dropping the rest of the charges against him. (cleveland.com)
- The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man they say was involved in the shooting death of a 20-year-old man near Gunning Park Recreation Center. Cleveland police are searching for Xavier Hempstead, 18, for aggravated homicide, according to a task force media release. Authorities allege that Hempstead and his brother, Rashaun Williams, fatally shot Darius Cruz multiple times in the head and the back in September. (Cleveland 19 News)
