Man Shoots His Girlfriend, Shoots at Cleveland Police
The man shot his 33-year-old girlfriend in the stomach and then barricaded himself in an apartment and shot at police.

CLEVELAND, OH - A 30-year-old man shot his girlfriend and then shot at police yesterday. The man barricaded himself in an apartment after shooting his girlfriend and was removed by SWAT.
The incident occurred at 1374 W. Boulevard when police were called to the scene for reports of a female being shot. When police arrived they found Sherez Addison, 33, receiving medical treatment. Addison had been shot in the stomach.
Prior to being taken to Metrohealth, Addison told officers that she had been shot by her boyfriend and that he was still inside the apartment. Officers entered the apartment building and took up a tactical position around the door.

Officers then knocked on the door and identified themselves as police. They had a short conversation with the boyfriend. Then two gun shots were fired through the door.
Officers retreated and contacted SWAT. The SWAT was able to take Mario Walker, 30, into custody.

One handgun was recovered at the scene.
