Here are the top stories today in Cleveland:

1. A 46-year-old Cleveland man was shot in the back after getting out of his car on the city's Eastside Monday afternoon. Cleveland police said Ernest Earley had parked his vehicle across from 1245 E. 86th Street. After he exited, shots were fired from an unknown direction and Earley was struck. (Cleveland 19 News)
2. A Cleveland man was sentenced to a minimum of 16 years in prison for driving drunk and crashing into a van carrying five Cleveland police SWAT officers. Antonio Brown, 40, pleaded guilty Tuesday, the day his jury trial was scheduled to begin. Judge Shannon Gallagher immediately sentenced Brown to 16-20 years in prison. (Cleveland 19 News)
3. Cleveland council panel has approved the selling city property for the construction of affordable housing in Glenville. (cleveland.com)
4. A handcuffed man in North Randall stole a police car after climbing into the front seat. Police are currently searching for the suspect. (News 5 Cleveland)
5. A Northeast Ohio man snapped gorgeous photos of the Northern Lights over Lake Erie from Cleveland early Tuesday morning. (Fox 8)
