Massage Parlors Raided By Law Enforcement In Northeast Ohio
Seven people have been indicted on suspicion of promoting prostitution, the Ohio Investigative Unit said.

CLEVELAND — Law enforcement agencies raided 16 Northeast Ohio massage parlors as part of an investigation into a possible prostitution ring, the Ohio Investigative Unit announced this week. As part of the operation, seven people have been indicted on suspicion of promoting prostitution.
“We will not turn a blind eye to criminal enterprises, such as this one,” said Major Gary Allen, OIU commander. “We will continue to work with our partners to hold those accountable for their roles in commercial sex businesses.”
Law enforcement searched massage parlors in seven counties in Northern Ohio. The raids, which happened on the last day of July, were the culmination of a years-long investigation.

The raids were then carried out on July 31.
“These parlors were illegally operating throughout multiple communities, including four here in Cuyahoga County,” said Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley. “I commend the multiple agencies involved who helped put an end to this criminal activity.”
