Meet Cleveland Cops During Wednesday Event

National Coffee with a Cop day is designed to bring communities and law enforcement together.

CLEVELAND — Northeast Ohioans have the chance to meet the men and women that patrol Cleveland during Wednesday's 3rd Annual National Coffee with a Cop Day. The event will bring residents and police officers together in an agenda-free, casual environment.

"Community engagement is one of the most important parts of our job in law enforcement," said Cleveland Police Chief Calvin D. Williams. "Making the time to stop and talk to our residents has a lasting impact on the community and the officers as well."We look forward to intriguing conversation and learning from one another."

Cleveland police will be drinking coffee and meeting residents in two locations: Cleveland City Hall and the Playhouse Square neighborhood Starbucks. City Hall's event will be held in the cafeteria and will start at 7:30 a.m. The Starbucks event will start at 9 a.m.
