More than 1 Million Ohioans Have Already Voted
With one week before the 2016 Presidential General Election, 1,054,912 Ohioans have already voted.

OHIO - An estimated 1,594,220 absentee ballots had been requested statewide. This includes 22,139 requests from military and overseas voters. Voting for military and overseas personnel began on September 24 and all absentee voting began on October 12, the day after the close of registration. Statewide, 1,054,912 ballots have already been cast as of Friday.
In Cuyahoga County, nearly 120,000 ballots have already been cast. In neighboring Lorain County, about 30,000 votes have been cast.

- 7,861,343 Ohioans are registered to vote.
- 1,305,325 voters have requested an absentee ballot by mail as of Friday.
- Of those, 766,017 have been cast.
- 288,895 voters have requested and cast an absentee ballot in-person as of Friday.
- 22,139 military & overseas voters have requested an absentee ballot as of Friday.
- Of those, 9,288 have been cast.
At this same point in time ahead of the start of absentee voting in 2012, nearly 2 million absentee ballots had been requested with more than 1.2 million ballots having been already cast (see October 30, 2012 data). That year marked the first-ever statewide mailing of absentee ballot applications and voters who took advantage of this option represented a third of all ballots cast in that election – a record 1.87 million absentee ballots were cast by mail and in person.
