CLEVELAND — The Ohio Attorney General announced indictments against three more Cuyahoga County Corrections Center officers this week. An associate warden and two corrections officers have been charged with tampering with evidence, felonious assault, falsification and more.
The indictments announced on Thursday were against Eric Ivey, John Wilson and Jason A. Jozwiak. Earlier this month, indictments were announced against five other corrections officers.
Ivey, an associate warden at the Corrections Center, has been indicted for two offenses. According to the indictment, Ivey ordered a corrections officer to turn off his body camera during an emergency that resulted in the death of an inmate. When he was later questioned about the incident, Ivey lied to investigators, according to the indictment.

Wilson and Jozwiak, both corrections officers, were indicted for an incident on Feb. 5, 2018. According to the indictment, Wilson repeatedly hit an inmate in the head, knocking out his teeth and causing another tooth to be lodged in the inmate's nasal cavity. The inmate had to get surgery and facial reconstruction, the Ohio Attorney General's Office said. Jozwiak is accused of refusing to let a nurse care for the inmate, even as he sat in a restraint chair with a broken nose and broken teeth.
