Here are the top three stories in Cleveland today:

  1. Amid the extreme cold and inclement weather conditions, a local mother-daughter duo is offering food and warmth to Cleveland's homeless population. Denise Crisp, who works at C.H.E.E.R.S. Restaurant & Lounge, has partnered with daughter Candice Johnson's catering company to feed homeless shelter residents on Saturday mornings. (Cleveland 19 News)
  2. The W.O. Walker Center in University Circle, one of Cleveland's mass COVID testing sites, is now closed for business. Demand for testing has dropped significantly over the weeks due to the availability of at-home tests, as well as a drop from the holiday surge. (Cleveland 19 News)
  3. Despite the fact that air travel has not yet returned to pre-pandemic levels, the number of firearms confiscated at Ohio airports continues to rise. A whopping 89 guns have been seized at Ohio airports in 2021, with 43 found at Cleveland Hopkins. Reportedly, many of these guns have been loaded. (Cleveland Patch)
