  1. A Cleveland man was fatally shot in his apartment in the city's Mount Pleasant neighborhood. Robert Bryant, Sr., 42 was found dead in his apartment in the 3200 block East 143rd Street, just south of Milverton Road. Bryant's family members contacted police shortly after 5 p.m. after they discovered him dead in the apartment. (cleveland.com)
  2. On a night when Cleveland selected its first new mayor in 16 years, voters also passed new measures to provide increased police oversight within the city. Issue 24 implements civilian oversight and authority over Cleveland police discipline matters. The charter amendment received nearly 60 percent of the vote, according to unofficial results from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. (Cleveland 19 News)
