Here are the top three stories in Cleveland today:

  1. The Cleveland Police Department is asking the community for information related to a reported kidnapping. The case revolves around the reported kidnapping of a roughly 18-year-old Black man near East 79th Street and St. Clair Avenue. Only one woman reportedly saw the incident with no additional witnesses or evidence being provided for the department's investigation. (Cleveland 19 News)
  2. City officials broke ground on Saturday morning on the new Clark Field Park project. The project begins after a joint $5.5 million cleanup by the EPA and the city's sewer district. The new construction will cost roughly $2.9 million with the construction slated to be done in 12 to 18 months. (Cleveland 19 News)
  3. Conflicting priorities for Cuyahoga County's new jail have been revealed by a community survey. Residents in the County are split on the jail's location, its necessity, and its hindrance to business. The only points that the community was in agreement on were that the new facility needs to provide ample free parking and a desire to continue to collect community input in the future.
