National Gas Prices Hit Years Low, Ohio Prices Even Lower

Buckeye State drivers are paying nearly 20 cents less per gallon than the average American driver for gas.

Americans are enjoying the cheapest December gas prices in years and Ohioans are paying nearly 20 cents less than the national average for a gallon of gas.

The cost for a gallon of regular gas is $2.11 in the Buckeye State, versus $2.36 nationally. With the holidays rapidly approaching, many Americans are expected to take advantage of cheap gas prices and hit the road.

“AAA expects 102 million Americans to drive to their holiday destination this year, which is a four percent increase year-over-year,” said Jeanette Casselano, AAA spokesperson. “No doubt cheaper gas prices are fueling their decision to hit the road.”
