CLEVELAND, OH — The Cleveland Cavaliers selected Collin Sexton, a point guard from Alabama. He has drawn praise for his toughness, energy and competitiveness. He is quick and explosive.
This means the Cavaliers will likely be moving on from George Hill. Sexton has drawn comparison to both Eric Bledsoe and Kyle Lowry.
Sexton averaged 19.2 points, 3.6 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 0.8 steals during his lone college season. He also had a highlight moment in the NCAA playoffs when he went coast-to-coast to hit a game-winner to beat Texas A&M.

Arizona center DeAndre Ayton went No. 1 overall to the Phoenix Suns. His ability to defend the rim and shoot the 3-pointer made him a no-brainer pick.
Foreign sensation Luka Doncic went No. 3, but will likely be traded to the Dallas Mavericks, who picked No. 5.
