Northeast Ohio Institutions React To Coronavirus: Cancellations
Several major organizations are postponing or canceling upcoming events, including the Cleveland Metroparks, museums and more.

CLEVELAND — Several Northeast Ohio institutions are canceling or postponing programming due to concern over the spread of the new coronavirus, COVID-19. The Cleveland Metroparks, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History and others will take steps to protect their visitors.
The Metroparks will close all their indoor facilities until at least March 31. This closure will include: all indoor exhibits at the Cleveland Zoo (including the rain forest, the Circle of Life carousel and the 4-D Theater), all nature centers and nature shops and Merwin's Wharf.
The following events will also be cancelled in the Metorparks: the fish fry events at Emerald Necklace Marina and Merwin's Wharf, the history of maple sugaring on March 14-15, Buzzard Day on March 15, World Water Day on March 21 and the job fair on March 22. The race for the cake will be postponed.

Guests with tickets to any impacted events will be refunded.

The Cleveland Metroparks outdoor locations will remain open.
Here are the other institutions implementing cancellations and postponements:
- Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
- The 2020 Rock Hall Induction ceremony, scheduled for May 2, has been postponed
- The Cleveland Orchestra
- Overseas trip canceled
- Concerts scheduled for March 12-14 at Severance are canceled
- The Cleveland Institute of Music
- Canceling all public concerts between today and April 6
- Concerts on April 7 and beyond will be made in the coming weeks
- Cleveland Museum of Natural History
- All events between today and March 31 will be postponed
- All planetarium shows are canceled through the end of the month
- Cleveland Museum of Art
- The following programs will be canceled:
- March 14: From Creation to Collection: Making and Marketing Drawings in 19th Century France, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Morley Lecture Hall
- March 14: FA4 Friends of African and African American Art group day trip to Detroit, Michigan
- March 18: Keithley Lecture: Vuillard Decoration, and the Hidden Portraiture with Gloria Groom, 5:30 p.m.
- March 20: British Galleries Re-Opening Celebration
- April 1: Digital Connoisseurship – Truth and the Multiple Lives of Art Objects? With Adam Lowe, 6:00 p.m.
- April 3: MIX: Viva, 6:00–10:00 p.m.
- April 5: Play Day Teen Takeover, 12:00–4:00 p.m.
- April 27–May 1: Womens Council trip to Houston, Texas
- April 29–May 3: Painting & Drawing Society trip to Washington, DC and Richmond, VA
- July 17–19: CMA Insider trip to Indianapolis and Columbus, Indiana
