Ohio City Park To Unveil New Basketball Court

Lakeview Terrace's green space continues to add features.

CLEVELAND — Lakeview Terrace in Ohio City will unveil its new basketball court on October 28. The revamped park offers outdoor access to nearly 3,000 Northeast Ohioans, according to the Trust for Public Land.

The basketball court debut will be part of a community celebration from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Residents of Lakeview Terrace, on W. 25th Street, have been working with artists, landscape architects and environmentalists to mold the park space into a mirror of the history and culture of Ohio City.

The greenspace features newly planted trees, a mural painted by local artists, and now the new basketball court, completed in partnership with artist Glen Infante, Ohio City Inc., Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority and LL Bean.

Several politicians and nonprofit and business executives are expected to attend the October 28 community celebration.
