Ohio Doctor Charged With Sex Trafficking Of Children

He is also accused of producing child pornography. His victims were between the ages of 12 to 14.

YOUNGSTOWN, OH — An Ohio doctor was charged in federal court for sex trafficking children as young as 12 years old, the Department of Justice announced. He is also accused of producing child pornography.

Dr. Albert Aiad-Toss, 52, was indicted on four counts of sex trafficking of a minor and one count of production of child pornography. He coerced three girls to engage in commercial sex acts over the summer, the indictment against him said.

“This defendant is accused of sexually assaulting children as young as 12 years old,” said U.S. Attorney Justin Herdman. “Those who prey upon children and other vulnerable victims will be held accountable for their actions.”

Police became aware of Aiad-Toss's activities after a 13-year-old girl and her mother tipped off Ashland police. The girl met the doctor on SnapChat, but had already heard about him because of his relationship with a 12-year-old girl, the indictment said.

Aiad-Toss told the girls he was both a doctor and an Uber driver and that he paid to have sex with girls, the indictment said. He would transfer money to them through the Cash App, the Department of Justice said.

According to court documents, over the course of a few weeks, he sent the 13-year-old girl $1,300 via Cash App, and titled his three transactions with the girl: "For one year with love," "For puppy love," and another was labeled with a red lips emoji. The doctor's face was visible in his Cash App profile picture, the indictment said.

Beyond cash payments, he also gave the 13-year-old a Mitsubishi to drive, the indictment said. The SUV was found parked at the house of the girl's grandmother, but the vehicle was registered to Aiad-Toss, court documents noted.

Aiad-Toss also purchased sex toys for the girls to use, the indictment said. Security footage from one of the stores he visited shows the doctor getting out of a Mitsubishi SUV, from the rear passenger door, court documents noted.

Investigators also found footage of Aiad-Toss inside a Northeast Ohio hotel with three females, including the 13-year-old girl, the indictment said.

According to the indictment. Aiad-Toss persuaded a 15-year-old girl to have sex so he could record the act. That incident happened on June 29, 2019, the indictment said.

“The abuse of a child is despicable and incomprehensible. Individuals such as Dr. Toss who allegedly choose to engage in sex acts with minors and sharing sexually explicit photos of children will face a court of law,” said FBI Special Agent Eric B. Smith. “Law enforcement will continue our unceasing efforts to protect our most precious resource, our children."

The investigation into Aiad-Toss was led by Ashland and Mansfield police.

“The charges brought against the defendant, Albert Aiad-Toss, are the product of the cooperation between Ashland law enforcement agencies, my office and the federal authorities,” said Ashland County Prosecutor Christopher Tunnell. “This case is prime an example of what happens when all the relevant criminal justice agencies act with the singular focus of keeping our children safe from predatory exploitation.”
