Ohio Man Extradited From Vietnam On Child Pornography Charges

The man was brought back to the U.S. on Wednesday to face trial.

A man was extradited from Vietnam to face child pornography charges in Northeast Ohio this week.

A two-count indictment against Larry Smith, formerly a Canton resident, was unsealed on Wednesday. Smith, 67, was indicted for receipt and distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

According to the indictment, while living in Canton in 2013, Smith had computer files of child pornography. In November, 2013, he had several laptops, an Apple computer and hard drives with images of prepubescent children engaged in sexual activity, the indictment said.
