A Northeast Ohio man has been accused of arranging a large shipment of narcotics from Los Angeles to Cleveland.
AKRON, OH — An Ohio man has been accused of trying to sell 22 pounds of methamphetamine, the Department of Justice announced. Law enforcement stopped the narcotics before they could be moved throughout Northeast Ohio, according to court documents.
Floyd Randle, 29, from Akron, was indicted in U.S. District Court on one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine. He was investigated by the FBI and Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Randle had someone fly to Los Angeles on July 13 with $9,000 in cash, according to court documents. That person, who is not named in Justice Department filings, met with three people at a hotel room. The trio took the $9,000 and packed the Ohioan's suitcase and told them to deliver it back to Randle, court documents said.
