Ohio State Basketball Gets 2-Seed In Big 10 Tournament

COLUMBUS, OH — The Ohio State Buckeyes basketball team has earned a two-seed heading into the Big Ten tournament. The team is ranked behind the Michigan State Spartans.

The Spartans 28-3 overall and 16-2 in conference play. The Buckeyes are an impressive 24-7 overall and 15-3 in conference play. Ohio State routed the Spartans on Jan. 7, winning 80-64.

The Buckeyes will begin tournament play on Friday at 6:30 p.m. They will play the winner of the Penn State-Northwestern game. That game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

Ohio State and Purdue actually tied for the second seed, with both teams finishing the season with a 15-3 conference record. The Buckeyes broke the tie with a head-to-head victory over the Boilermakers.

CBS will televise the conference semifinals on Saturday and the Big Ten championship game on Sunday.
