Voter Registration Goes Online for Ohioans
Nothing rings in the New Year like registering to vote. Now you can do it from the comfort of your bed.

OHIO - If your resolution was to finally get yourself registered to vote in the Buckeye State, your life just got a whole lot easier. Secretary of State Jon Husted announced today that online voter registration is now active in Ohio.
Besides making registration more convenient for potential voters, the move could also save the state a good deal of money. A study from the Pew Charitable Trusts found that other states have saved between 50 cents and $2.34 per registrant. That means Ohio could have saved $3.7 million or $17.3 million between 2011 and 2016.
Husted says that online registration is more secure than its paper equivalent. His argument is that the registration system will automatically check a voter's eligibility prior to registering them. He also believes the risk of human error is significantly reduced.
