Otter Pups Now Playing With Moving Water At Cleveland Zoo
The zoo's three baby otters have hit a new development milestone: they're playing with moving water. Check out the adorable footage.

CLEVELAND, OH — Three of Cleveland's cutest residents have taken another step in their development. The Cleveland Zoo's three otter pups, born Sept. 24, are now playing with moving water. A video of the trio's encounter with running water was posted to social media Thursday morning.
The zoo said the otters should be on exhibit in the next few weeks. Eventually, the otters will head to the zoo's RainForest display.
The otters have gotten bigger and stronger since their birth, the zoo said. That said, the otters will never get too big.

Born to the zoo's other otters, Bitzy and Kibble, the three pups are Asian small-clawed otters, the smallest species of otters. The animals are currently considered a "vulnerable species" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
The Asian small-clawed otters population is managed on a Species Survival Plan Program, certified by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, and the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is a member of that association.
