  1. The Cleveland Police Department is investigating a Friday shooting fatality in the Cudell neighborhood. According to reports, Franklin Lane, 39, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead at MetroHealth. Homicide detectives have not identified a suspect but they are asking the community to contact the department with any information. (cleveland.com)
  2. Kroger and Walmart have recalled Continental Mills pancake and waffle mixes from Ohio stores. The recall was the result of potential foreign contamination, according to the Food and Drug Administration report. The products were specifically the Great Value Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix with lot code KX2063 and the Kroger Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix with lot codes KX2063 and KX2064. (Patch)
  3. Nurses at the Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital have been honored with a special award. The Magnet award recognizes excellence in nursing, according to a news release by the hospital's chief nursing officer. The award is a nice compliment after dealing with staffing shortages, pandemic stress, and extra patients. (cleveland.com)
