Part Of I-77 North Temporarily Closed Due To Fallen Debris

CLEVELAND — I-77 North, between Fleet Avenue and the I-490 split, is temporarily closed, Cleveland police announced.
Debris fell from a truck on the highway and punctured the tires of several cars, snarling traffic and prompting the closing, police said. Traffic is currently backed up to Harvard Avenue. Drivers are being diverted off the highway at Pershing Avenue.
The Ohio Department of Transportation said drivers should use alternate routes into downtown, like SR 176 North.

ODOT said it does not have an estimate for when the stretch of highway will be re-opened, but drivers can get updates on OHGO.com.
