Pedestrian Hit By Car While Leaving Deli In Cleveland

A 26-year-old woman is still in confinement at University Hospital after suffering severe trauma during the accident.

CLEVELAND — A pedestrian was hit by a car while leaving Poochie's Deli on Miles Avenue on Saturday morning. The 26-year-old suffered severe trauma and is confined at University Hospital, Cleveland police said.

The crash happened at 2:15 a.m. on Saturday. The pedestrian, a 26-year-old woman, was crossing Miles Avenue, going north to south when she was hit by a car. The vehicle kept driving and was last seen going west on Miles Avenue.

First responders rushed the 26-year-old to University Hospital. She is still receiving treatment at the hospital.
