Pedestrian Killed Crossing Street In Tremont On Saturday
Police said the man was in a crosswalk when a car ran a redlight and hit him. The driver of the car ran from the scene, police said.
CLEVELAND — A man was killed while crossing Clark Avenue and W. 25th in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland on Saturday night, police announced.
The man was in a marked crosswalk, going east on Clark, with the pedestrian walk signal activated. At about 10:30 p.m., a blue 2009 Chevy Malibu ran through a red light, while speeding, and hit the man in the crosswalk.
The man was tossed into another car parked at the intersection. He was later pronounced dead by EMS, police said.

The Malibu sped away before crashing into another car parked at Wade Avenue. The driver of the Malibu, and a passenger in the car, jumped out and ran off. Police are still searching for the driver.
No one else was hurt because of the Malibu, police said.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office is helping police investigate the man's death.
