Man In Wheelchair Killed In Multi-Car Accident In Cleveland
The man was near an intersection when he was hit by a car and killed Wednesday morning.

CLEVELAND, OH — A multi-car accident caused the death of a pedestrian on Wednesday morning, Cleveland Police said. The man was in a motorized wheelchair near an intersection when one of the cars struck him.
The accident happened at about 8 a.m. this morning, a police spokesperson said. A Ford Focus was pulling into the intersection of Fulton Road and Walton Avenue when it hit a Jeep Wrangler, causing the Jeep to rotate and hit the man in the wheelchair.
The pedestrian was rushed to MetroHealth's Emergency Room where he succumbed to his injuries. He was 59-years-old, police said.

Initial police reports said the Jeep was driving the speed limit, 35 mph, and the Focus was stopped in the intersection, waiting for traffic to clear. That's when the collision happened.
No arrests have been made in this case. Facts and conclusions from the investigation will be presented to the city prosecutor.
