Pedestrian Killed On SR 176 In Cleveland

The freeway was briefly shut down during the early morning on Monday.

CLEVELAND, OH — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on the Jennings Freeway, also known as SR 176 late on Sunday night. The freeway was briefly shutdown during the early morning hours on Monday.

The accident happened near the Spring Road exit, according to Cleveland Police. At midnight, the Ohio Department of Transportation shut down SR 176 south near Spring Road. The freeway wasn't re-opened until 1:30 a.m.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and Cleveland Police were at the scene, according to Fox 8. It is not yet clear who the victim is.
