Pedestrian Killed Trying To Cross I-90

CLEVELAND — A 32-year-old man was killed when he tried to cross I-90 on foot on early Tuesday, police announced.

The accident happened at 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday near the East 9th Street exit. A Honda Accord going east on I-90 struck the man as he tried to cross the freeway. The pedestrian walked into the traffic lanes, police said.

Emergency responders took the 32-year-old to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment. The man was later pronounced dead.

Cleveland police said they are still investigating the accident and what happened.

Traffic was snarled around the accident during Tuesday morning rush hour.
