Kimberly Maes has a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy, both from Oakland University in Rochester, MI. During her undergrad, she also studied voice at Oakland University.

She has been teaching both piano and voice since 2003 and has experience teaching classical, pop, jazz, and sacred repertoire. She enjoys coaching and accompanying students who perform for Solo & Ensemble or other events. In 2011, she received the MaTilDa Joyce Adelson Piano Ensemble Award from Oakland University.
She has performance experience not only as a classical pianist, a church musician, but also as a singer in rockabilly bands and rock bands. She is also sought out to sing and play piano for weddings, funerals, and various other events.

She has been playing the piano since the age of 3 and singing since the age of 11. With these two loves, it was natural for her to become a singer/song-writer.
Kimberly loves sharing music with others and has used this passion for community outreach and charity. She created and organized a benefit concert and non-profit organization called Music with Heart to raise funds for the American Heart Association. She recently moved from the suburbs of Detroit to Cleveland and is excited to teach students eager to expand their musical knowledge.
