Police Involved In Deadly Shooting In Cleveland

CLEVELAND — The Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly shooting on Thursday night in Cleveland. Police were involved in the fatal incident, according to a police spokesperson.

At 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, police went to a gas station on Kinsman Road for reports of shots fired. When officers arrived they found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his face. Police gave the man first aid until EMS took the man to University Hospitals, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators found a suspect on E. 142nd Street and police went to the address. When officers arrived, shots were fired and the suspect was pronounced dead, according to a Cleveland police spokesperson.

Members of the Cleveland police homicide unit responded to the gas station on Kinsman to investigate the death of the man found with a facial gunshot wound. The Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office went to E. 142nd and will investigated the officer-involved shooting.

Police said no additional information is available at the time and the investigation into the shootings continues.
